B. B. Cael

B. Cael is a ocean and climate science specialising in novel statistical analysis of observations. Cael completed a PhD at the MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography in 2019, then a postdoc at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, then began as a Principal Investigator at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) in the Fall of 2019. Cael currently works at NOC as a Principal Scientist (Associate Professor Equivalent). Cael’s research spans a range of topics, from climate physics to ocean biogeochemistry, with the overarching motivation of leveraging observations and Earth system knowledge to better characterise and predict climate change. Cael has >60 publications, with >30 as first-author.
